Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day, which falls on August 12th every year, is a time of reverence and gratitude for the immense blessings of motherhood. At Baan Nok Kamin Foundation, we are aware and celebrate the love of the mothers who care for the children in the Baan Nok Kamin family. Baan Nok Kamin provides care for children through a foster family system with foundation staff acting as parents. It is a warm home for children who are without families or opportunities. On this special day, the children express their gratitude and bring happiness to their mothers.

A home filled with love: Within the nurturing embrace of Baan Nok Kamin, there are approximately 10-12 children who reside as substitute family members. The mothers dedicate their lives to providing love, warmth, and care to the children, even though they may not be their biological mothers. They ensure the children grow in a safe, loving, and nurturing environment. Every day, the Nok Kamin mothers teach the children with love and compassion, instilling necessary values and life skills that will shape their future.

The bond between a mother and child is one of the most important connections in the world. The deep connection within the Nok Kamin family goes beyond providing temporary shelter. We build relationships based on love and enduring support. As the children grow under the care of their mothers, they establish strong, lifelong relationships. These bonds become the foundation that empowers them to build strong relationships and overcome future challenges.

Mother’s Day is not just a celebration of birth mothers, but also an opportunity to honor the extraordinary love and dedication of the Nok Kamin mothers. The mothers, who serve as caregivers, play a vital role in the lives of children who lack family and opportunities. With unwavering love, the mothers create a nurturing environment where the children can thrive. As we reflect on this day, let us acknowledge and admire the selfless actions of the Nok Kamin mothers who shape the lives of the children at the Nok Kamin Foundation.
